Diana Ramašauskaitė (MD, PhD). Professor of Vilnius University Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Head of the Center in Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinic.
The research interests include maternal health, preterm delivery, infection in perinatology, postterm pregnancy, infertility.
The main research interest – preterm birth, the leader of the multidisciplanary team, composed of members with varied experience, qualifications and skills. The group involves obstetricians gynaecologists, neonatologists, researchers of State Research Institute Center and PhD students. The team is working to evaluate immunological markers in amniotic fluid collected by a non-invasive transvaginal sampling avoiding the invasive amniotic fluid analysis by amniocentesis. They are in the process of investigation of the trancervical amniotic fluid catheter.
Diana Ramasauskaite was elected for the position of Lithuanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology President in 2016. She has a great experience in organization of perinatal care, developing national guidelines in obstetrics and gynaecology, she has demonstrated expertise in both clinical and scientific aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, teaching students and postgraduate training.
Diana Ramasauskaite is a member elect of FIGO (The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Safe Motherhood and Newborn Health Committee and EBCOG (European Board&College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) Council Member. She is also a member of Group of Experts of Biomedical Research of Lithuanian Bioethics Committee.
